Chronic Pain

Most people have been affected by chronic pain in one way or another.  Whether it be personally or while looking after a family member, most realise the painful effect it can have on normal daily activities.

It is defined as a pain which lasts longer than the expected time for healing and then begins to interfere with normal life. 


Experts point out that this period of prolonged inactivity increases weakness and causes loss of muscle mass and strength.  In these cases, a regular exercise programme and physical therapy can help you in regaining strength, increasing energy levels and developing a more positive attitude towards life.

Working in conjunction with a local charity, Core Fitness programme aim is to deliver support and intervention services to people who suffer from chronic pain, helping regain a quality of life.  Through our programme we use alternative therapies and exercise principles to
assist chronic pain sufferers regain a sense of wellbeing and alleviate the pains associated with the condition.
