Using Medical Insurance
The Physiotherapists at Core Physio Limited are recognised by most health insurance companies.
If you are intending to claim for your physiotherapy appointments through your insurance company please read the information on this section of the website. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the clinic for more information.
What you can claim for:
- Please note that insurance companies generally will only pay for appointments with Chartered Physiotherapists. If you are intending to claim for appointments with either our massage therapists, reflexologists, or personal trainers please check specifically with your insurance company that these appointments will be covered. Core Physio Limited will issue a receipt for any of these appointments, however we do not accept liability for insurance companies failing to reimburse for these treatments.
- Core Physio Limited only employs fully qualified Chartered Physiotherapists who are registered with both the Health Professions Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. Should your insurance company require registration numbers then please contact the clinic and we can provide these.
- Our price list for all appointments is set and we do not alter our charges for insurance claims
What you need to do:
In order to help us be able to bill your insurance company appropriately please take note of the following information:
- When you book your appointment at Core Physio please inform them that you are wishing to claim for your appointment through insurance.
- Please contact your insurance company to confirm that you are covered for physiotherapy treatment.
- You insurance company may require a GP referral letter, if this is the case please contact your GP immediately.
- Some insurance companies will issue you with a claim or authorisation number for your treatment, please bring this with you to your FIRST appointment. We are unable to back date or bill your insurance company to co-inside with the date of issue of this number.
- Some insurance companies may require you to pay an excess before you are able to submit your full claim. This excess varies according to your individual policy, please check with your insurance company what your excess may be.
- If your insurance company requires that you pay for the treatments and that you be reimbursed please inform reception on your arrival and we will issue you with the appropriate receipt for you to claim.
- Insurance companies generally have an annual limit per policy for physiotherapy. Please check what your individual limit is for physiotherapy treatment and inform both reception when you hand in your application form and the physiotherapist
- Should your individual condition require more treatment sessions that originally authorised by your insurance company, they sometimes allow for further treatment sessions on the completion of a report by your physiotherapist. Should this situation arise your physiotherapist will discuss this with you and you may be required to contact your insurance company for further authorisation.
- We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. All appointments cancelled within this time will be charged to your insurance company resulting in less treatments or direct to yourself.
